Verbena comes from South America but it has adapted perfectly to the Mediterranean climate.
It was brought to Europe by the Spanish and Portugese in the 17th century, at first as an ornamental plant.
It has a refreshing lemon scent and flavour.
Verbena has diastolic and anti-inflammatory properties.
It has relaxing, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
Verbena enhances digestion, soothes migraine and nausea.
It is a diuretic, enhances weight loss and cellulite reduction and reduces the appetite (Verbena is recommended to accompany appropriate diet and excercise).
Excellent against flatulence. It is used against repiratory inflammations, cough, colds, flue and runny nose.
Verbena should be avoided during pregnancy. It increases lactation. After childbirth – contraindications unknown.
