 Name-History-Mythology :

The Latin name comes from the Greek word ”sidero”, which means ”iron”

It was one of the most important wartime remedies in Ancient Greece. It was used not only as a stimulant, but also to enhance the healing of wounds after battles.

It was dedicated to the Olympian gods, as it grows naturally in the Olympus mountain chain at the height of around 800-2800 m above sea level. (Oympus-Mitikas 2917 m )

12 varieties of sideritis scardica grow naturally in Greece. It is hadpicked and sundried.

In Greece it is the favourite tea of children and the elderly. Endowed with an exceptional aroma and flavour, it can be drunk both hot nad cold.
