Mint: the herb of Pluto
Pluto, the god of the underworld, fell in love with nymph Menthe. This incensed his wife, Persephone, who turned the nymph into a plant.
Pluto did not have the power to return Menthe to her previous shape, so he decided do give her leaves a beautiful, fresh scent. These are the origins of Mint.
The Pennyroyal is an aromatic and medicinal plant, as well as a spice.
It is refreshing and increases sweating
Mint soothes cough and muscle cramps.
It is used against the flu, stomach and digestion problems.
It facilitates coughing and is effective against convulsions and diarrhoea.
Pennyroyal Mint is effective against asthma and arthritis .
It is effective against dizziness, migraine, nausea and stress-related vomiting.
